Chapter President - Lisa Anderson
Lisa Anderson, CPP began her payroll career in 1994 while working as an HR Manager for a California security firm. Lisa continued to advance her payroll career, holding positions including payroll clerk, payroll implementations specialist, Global Total Rewards Director, and currently, Director, Global Payroll. Lisa has managed U.S. multistate payrolls with employee counts from 500 to over 120,000, U.S.
payroll tax filings, global payroll and tax in 12 countries, and benefits in the U.S. and EMEA.
Lisa obtained her CPP in 2005 and became involved in the Dallas Chapter APA in 2008, holding a variety of board positions including President in 2017. She later joined the Fort Worth Chapter in 2019 and is currently serving as President. Lisa has also volunteered for PayrollOrg on the Certification Advisory Board and the FPC Item Writing Committee since 2014 and the CPP Item Writing Committee since 2024. Most recently, Lisa published her first PayTech article in May 20242.
Lisa received the Dallas Chapter Premier Volunteer Award in 2010 and the Meritorious Service Award from PayrollOrg.
Chapter Vice President - Pat Burkholder
Pat brings an extensive background to the Fort Worth Payroll Org Chapter in Payroll and Payroll Administration. Pat obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Public Affairs and Community Service from the University of North Texas. Minoring in business, Pat has always had a pension and a natural knack for payroll. Pat started her career as a Utility Billing Clerk with the City of Grapevine in 2007. Shortly before 2013 Pat Began cross-training in payroll as a backup. She picked it up naturally, and quickly rose to being a star in the payroll department. In 2013 Pat was promoted to the position of Payroll Administrator for the city.
In 2015 Pat joined the Nation APA, now National PayrollOrg, and earned her FPC. Shortly after she joined the Fort Worth Chaper APA, now Fort Worth Chapter PayrollOrg, as a member. Pat then joined the board of directors for the Fort Worth APA in 2016.
Chapter Treasurer - Shelli Mathis
Shelli Mathis is a seasoned professional in the payroll industry, boasting an impressive career spanning nearly three decades. Her journey commenced within a small family-owned business, where she honed her skills and developed a profound understanding of the intricacies of payroll management.
Driven by a passion for learning and growth, Shelli transitioned to the education sector, bringing her expertise to the forefront of academia. Her tenure in higher education allowed her to not only contribute to the payroll landscape but also to empower future professionals through her knowledge and mentorship.
Recently, Shelli embarked on a new chapter in her career by joining a private equity company, where she continues to leverage her extensive experience to navigate the complexities of payroll within a dynamic corporate environment.
Shelli’s commitment to excellence is evident through her attainment of the Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation in 2021. Additionally, her active involvement in PAYO national committees highlights her commitment to driving positive change and advancing the payroll profession on a broader scale.
Chapter Secretary - Gina Butcher, CPP
Gina Butcher, CPP, PHR, SHRM-CP recently completed two years of chapter service as our Secretary. Having enjoyed a multi-decade career in payroll, she continues to be amazed at how much there is to learn as a payroll professional.
Gina currently supports an assigned book of business as a middle market payroll specialist at Insperity. Upon moving to Tarrant County in 2004, she was delighted to discover two of the friendliest groups to be found – Fort Worth APA chapter and Friendship Baptist Church in Hurst, TX.
She is passionate about self-improvement, which has led to her payroll and HR certifications.
In Gina’s spare time, she enjoys vegetable gardening and is an ardent Toastmaster.
Chapter Membership Director - Angie Pucket
I would like to support the Ft Worth Chapter of Payroll Org as the Membership Director.
Having over 20 years of experience in payroll I have a passion to see other people develop their payroll knowledge. I believe the Ft Worth Chapter is a great avenue to stay updated on the ever changing regulations and connect with other payroll professionals.
I would like to help the Ft Worth Chapter continue to be the excellent source of providing and sharing payroll knowledge.
Program Director - Larrissa Carroll
Larrissa Carroll, has over 15 years of experience in payroll. She also has a joy in working with payroll and tries to ensure the best practices when it comes to processing payroll.
She has earned a degree in BS in Business Administration and a MS in Accountancy.
She’s so confident at her job that she feels she can master any task in any payroll system with the knowledge she has with SAP, Kronos, and PeopleSoft; with SAP being the most experienced in. She also has experience with state and county payroll as well as private sector payroll.
She has been a member of the Arkansas Governmental Accountancy Board while working the State of Arkansas in payroll. She also worked with HRBlock for three seasons to gain knowledge and experience in the tax world.
Immediate Past President - Rema Rhone
Rema Rhone a Colorado native has been in the Payroll/HR industry for over 30 years. Rema started her Payroll/HR career as a Human Resources Administrator for an airline repair company in Boulder, Colorado. Rema was promoted to Human Resources Manager for their Texas location in 1999. Since moving to Texas, Rema has worked as a Payroll Supervisor, Payroll Administrator holding a current role as a Payroll Manager for a Fort Worth engineering firm. Rema has had experience with processing multi-state payroll, Payroll/Human Resources implementations, 401K administration, and benefits administration.
Rema has attended the Texas Payroll Conference for several years, member of National APA, Dallas Chapter, and current member and President for Fort Worth Chapter APA.
Personal interests, avid TCU fan (fanatic is an understatement) and grandson’s baseball team.
Technology Director - David
David sits on our board as our Technology Director. David has served as our Technology Director since 2016. He is not a payroll professional, but is a seasoned Technology Professional.
David brings over 10 years of Technology Experience to the FWPO. He has served in organizations from small businesses (< 7 people) to International Corporations (146,000+ people). His experience is vast as he enjoys learning and researching anything that piques his curiosity. He has worked in Customer Service, Application Support, Software Development, Database Administration, System Design & Engineering, and IT Management just to name a few.
Technology is a passion for him, not just a job. He is honored to bring his skills to the FWPO to help grow the chapter and to provide an excellent experience for our members.
In his free time he enjoys spending time with his Amazing Wife and Family as they stay active.
